- Paul and Fern Yocum found Yocum Oil Company.
1960

Yocum Oil Company offers gasoline at a full service
station in Maplewood, Minnesota on the corner of
McKnight and Stillwater Road.
1963
- Yocum Oil Company built its first new service
station. Located on the corner of Stillwater Road
and Century Avenue, the station was known around St.
Paul as the place to go for service on Volkswagon
automobiles.
1972
- Yocum Oil Company acquires the home heating oil
business from Luger Mercantile of North St. Paul,
MN.
1975
- Yocum Oil Company acquires home heating business
from J.W. Meehan Oil and The Snelling Company,
moving their bulk storage tanks to the Yocum Oakdale
Plant facility.
1977
- Yocum Oil Company acquires Rivard Oil Company of
White Bear Lake, MN, adding extra bulkplant capacity.
1978
- Yocum Oil Company acquires Whitcomb Oil Company of
Afton, MN.
1980
- Yocum Oil Company becomes a distributor of Texaco
premium lubricants.
1981 - Yocum Oil Company makes its
largest acquisition to date when it acquires Oasis
Petroleum Company of Stillwater, MN. Yocum Oil
Company also acquires J.A. Reed Co. of White Bear
Lake, MN which not only expands our heating oil
customer base, but establishes the company in the
lubricant market.
1983
- Tony Yocum IV is named President and CEO of Yocum
Oil.
1984
- Yocum Oil Company acquires four heating oil companies
in Minnesota: Windolff Oil, Nelson Oil, Holmen Oil,
and Brochman Quality Oil.
1985
- Yocum Oil Company acquires Lakeland Oil.
1986
- Yocum Oil Company razed and built a new Texaco
convenience store and car wash.
1987
- Yocum Oil Company builds a state-of-the-art
warehouse and bulk lubricant facility.
1988
- Yocum Oil Company acquires land and builds new
convenience store and car wash in Eagan, MN.
1989
- Yocum Oil signs a CAT fluids contract with
Ziegler, Inc., servicing all of Minnesota and the
majority of Iowa with Caterpillar fluids. Yocum Oil
Company acquires the petroleum business of White Bear Oil Company.
Yocum Oil acquires land and builds a convenience
store in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
1990
- Yocum Oil Company acquires land and builds new
convenience store and car wash in Jordan, MN.
1994
- Yocum Oil Company becomes the largest distributor
of Caterpillar Fluids in North America. We continue
to hold this distinction today.
1994
- Yocum Oil Company acquires Luepke Oil Company out
of Hudson, WI.
1998
- Yocum Oil Company provides businesses and homes
with fuel and service during the stormy winter of
1998; further establishing ourselves as the
"Go To" company for the power generation
marketplace.
1999
- Yocum Oil Company, Inc. proudly announces its 40th
Anniversary. We are a much different company than we
were in 1959, but still hold the same principles
that we did when Paul and Fern Yocum began.
Yocum Oil continues its convenience store expansion
by purchasing land and building a convenience store
and car wash in North St. Paul, MN.
2000
- Yocum Oil introduces
www.yocumoil.com
to better serve the needs of a technology-driven
marketplace and provide additional information to
our customers. Yocum Oil acquired Brindley Oil
Company. Yocum Oil also purchases and remodels
an additional convenience store location in North
St. Paul, MN.
2002
- Yocum Oil Company makes the exciting announcement
of re-branding all its Texaco and Amoco
convenience stores to Holiday Stationstores in order
to offer greater product selection and pricing to
it's customers. Yocum Oil acquires
the heating oil business from LubeTech and grows the
number of residential customers serviced by
1,000. Yocum continues its convenience store
operations by purchasing and remodeling a full
service station in Stillwater, MN.
2003 - The 1st Annual "All Company"
Meeting was held.
2004
- Yocum Oil Company acquires St. Michael Oil and Niebur
Oil Company to add to the capacity of fuel and
lubricant accounts it services. Total Heating
& Air Conditioning, and American Burner Service were
also acquired to boost the areas and level of
service it provides to residential customers for
their heating and cooling needs. Yocum
Oil purchases the corporation Jamaica Food Mart,
Inc., which includes two convenience store and car
wash locations in Woodbury, MN and Cottage Grove, MN
bringing the total number of company operated
stations to nine.
2005 - Yocum Oil joins a strategic marketing
alliance with Owens Companies to provide
installation and service to our Residential and
Commercial Oil Heat customers.
Owens
Yocum Heating & Cooling. This
joint agreement with Owens Companies, a large HVAC
contractor of residential, commercial, and
industrial accounts, further enhances the value
offered to our customers and their home comfort
needs.
2007 - Yocum Oil acquires the business
and property of
Jacobus Energy's
Quick Fuel division in Minnesota. This
acquisition further enhances the value
offered to our commercial fuel, fleet and heating
oil customers.
