Paul
and Fern Yocum Scholarship
Foundation Fund
The
Paul and Fern Yocum Scholarship Foundation Fund
was established by Paul and Fern Yocum in 1998 to assist qualified sons and
daughters of Yocum Oil Company, Inc.’s full-time
employees to further their education beyond high school.
Each year, scholarships are offered for full-time
undergraduate study to an accredited two or four year
college, university or vocational-technical college.
An independent
Advisory Committee reviews applications and makes
recommendations based on academic record, leadership,
participation in school and community activities,
honors, work experience and a statement of educational
and career goals.
The Saint Paul Foundation,
which serves as the Foundation Fund’s Administrator,
serves as a partner in philanthropy, complementing the
efforts of other private and public charities, nonprofit
organizations and civic institutions. As a community
foundation, it plays a valuable and unique role—as a
vehicle for donors to contribute to the future health of
Minnesota’s communities and as a grant making entity to
assist individuals, organizations, and communities
throughout the region.
